There are many choices for implant courses today, with some designed as hotel-based short courses, whilst others are university based and involve longer periods and some form of certification. There are also many different implant systems on the market today, and the array of implants, types of abutments, associated CAD-CAM systems, and the various claims for superiority by different companies can make the field of implantology seem bewildering.

This course will address the main causes of postoperative sensitivity with posterior composites, and present techniques that can be predictably employed by the clinician to prevent it occurring. This will include a discussion on cavity design and restorative material placement as well as the role of self-etching dentine bonding systems, glass ionomers and flowable resins.
During hands-on exercises, participants will have the opportunity to practice composite placement in typodont teeth using the materials and techniques discussed.
Beginning with a lecture covering the relevant physical properties required of composites to be used for restoring anterior teeth, this
one-day course explores the concepts of colour as they relate to tooth shade selection. As there are presently so many options on the
market, the importance of opacity/translucency as distinct from colour alone will be explained to assist participants in selecting composite systems for use in their own practices.
Finally, the multi-layered approach to restoring anterior teeth using varying opacitie of composites will be demonstrated together with simplified techniques for build-up, finishing and polishing.
The practical exercises in this course will give participants the opportunity to restore typodont teeth utilising a multi-shaded, aesthetic composite system and the layering techniques presented in the lecture.
At the completion of the course, attendees should have a greater understanding of the newer composite technologies available to achieve excellent aesthetic and functional results when restoring anterior teeth.

- Tips for predictable Anterior and Posterior composites
- Crown preparations
- Impression techniques
- Which materials, instruments and burs are indispensable and worth buying
- Treatment Planning basics and how to present the plans to patients

A full-day course includes a half-day lecture and half-day hands-on workshop
This program is designed around some very complicated, and at first glance, impossible to perform restorative dental procedures. We have all experienced the situation. Patients will present seeking to improve their smile when their teeth are clearly in the wrong position due to agenesis or aplasia, or seeking to correct their teeth which are malaligned or heavily discoloured teeth and their wedding/photo opportunity is just weeks away. How do we deal with such cases?
In this one-day workshop, Michael will showcase many aesthetically challenging cases, and some which at first glance appear to be truly impossible to complete restoratively. He will show you how it was done, and pass on tips for proper assessment and diagnostic workup. Michael will share the tips and tricks that can make or break these cases.
In the hands-on exercise participants will learn how to do a diagnostic mockup to assess a case and present it to their patient.
This jam packed program will discuss porcelain veneers in detail. This 2 day intensive workshop will alternate between theory and practical exercises for the whole 2 days.
